The safety and well-being of children is everyone’s responsibility.
If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, please report it. While it is not your job to investigate, it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure children in our community are safe, loved, provided for, and have their physical and emotional needs met.
To report suspected child abuse or neglect, please contact San Benito County Child Protective Services at 831-636-4190.
If the situation appears to be an emergency, contact authorities immediately at 911.
San Benito County is always in need of resource (foster) families for children in care. This shortage results in children’s placement in neighboring counties such as Merced, San Joaquin, and Santa Clara. These out-of-county placements only add further disruption to the child’s life; not only have they been removed from their parents, they are further separated from their schools, their friends, and community. Could you open your heart and your home to a foster child in need? Please consider becoming a resource family.
